Efectos de un Programa de Alfabetización Física en Preescolares del Norte de México

Introducción: La Alfabetización Física (AFi) es una corriente educativa holística e integral, la UNESCO recomienda incluirla en los programas de Educación Física (EF). Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto de un programa de AFi sobre los Conocimientos de Actividad Física Relacionada con la Salud (CAFRS) y Habilidades Fundamentales de Movimiento (HFM) en preescolares. Métodos: Participaron un total de 27 niñas y de 18 niños, se contó con Grupo Control (GC) n=17 y Grupo de Intervención (GI) n=28. Para evaluar los CAFRS se utilizó un examen de opción múltiple y para las HFM el Test of Gross Motor Development-3 (TGMD-3). El grupo de intervención participó en dos sesiones semanales de 40 minutos durante 10 semanas, para la planeación de las sesiones se utilizaron estándares curriculares del SHAPE America, se aplicó un Pre-test y Post-test. Resultados: Los instrumentos mostraron adecuados niveles de fiabilidad y consistencia interna. El Coeficiente de Correlación Intraclase (ICC) para los CAFRS fue ICC=.756, las HFM presentaron un ICC=.751 en Habilidades Locomotoras y un ICC=.723 en Habilidades de Control de Objetos. Los CAFRS y las HFM en el GI muestran cambios positivos significativos de (p≤0.01). Conclusión: La intervención muestra mejoras en el CAFRS y las HFM en los preescolares del GI, reforzando la importancia de implementar programas de AFi, desde edades tempranas como estrategia para favorecer el desarrollo integral y sentar bases para estilos de vida activos y saludables.
