Focus and scope

The International Academic Journal of Physical Education is an independent scientific publication that specializes in physical activity, school pedagogical practice, sports training, sports administration, biomechanics, exercise physiology and other knowledge that can enrich the epistemology in physical education.

The primary objective of the journal is the increasing dissemination of knowledge based on original research, reflections on theoretical studies, relevant practical experiences, etc.

It is important to take into account that the Journal expressly requires original and unpublished works, not having been in progress or published with another journal, therefore, authors must responsibly commit to the authenticity of their manuscript.

The section of the magazine is reflected in scientific articles, dissemination and/or empirical pedagogical experiences and theoretical review articles.

-Articles of a scientific nature: Basic and/or applied research papers.

-Dissemination articles and/or empirical didactic experiences: Experience of professional practices that allows the exchange of knowledge.

-Theoretical review articles: Manuscripts based on reviews, summaries of doctoral theses and essays

Peer review process

The articles are evaluated anonymously by two academic peers from outside the publishing entity who have experience in the respective area. In case of disagreement in the reviewers' response, a third observation will be carried out.

The director of the magazine undertakes that the review time between academics does not exceed two months.

The process of receiving until the publication of the article that he carries out in the following way:

When the manuscript is received, the author(s) will be notified of its receipt, and it will be examined by the editor of the journal, whose function will be to examine the article with the anti-plagiarism program. If there is evidence of plagiarism, they will not be able to continue with the evaluation process. On the other hand, it will be observed if it meets the sufficient criteria that the journal has to continue the review process, that is, that it meets the sections of the journal, that it complies with the APA 6th edition standards and that it complies with the interest of the readers.

The rejected articles will be returned to the main author showing the reasons why they were not admitted, but the authors who have deficiencies in the formal compliance of the journal will be notified in order to amend the error in the shortest possible time and continue with the respective review. .

After fulfilling the review filter, the article will be sent to two academic peers or experts in the topic that the document deals with, it must be taken into account that the reviewers have no direct link with the journal, whose function is based on the evaluation and convenience for the respective publication, the review will be double-blind, therefore, there will be anonymity in the author and the evaluators, the editor will be in charge of carrying out this process for greater reliability, therefore, the Journal uses the peer review system double-blind.

The evaluation of the academic peers (external to the editor affiliation) will be confidential, therefore, the main author will not have knowledge of the name of the evaluators. Once the judging process is over, the authors will be notified of one of the three response possibilities: accepted, accepted with changes, or rejected.

Accepted article: It will begin with the layout and respective publication

Article accepted with changes: Corrections will be sent to the authors so that they can adjust and approve them for publication.

Article rejected: The article will be archived

Acknowledgments: Acknowledgments will be given to authors who generate an academic impact in the Journal, for which they will appear on the cover and have an international certificate.

Open access policy

The contents of the magazine are free access or Open Access (OA), so the commitment is the gratuity of knowledge and the exchange of knowledge from a global perspective. The copyright will belong to the same researchers or academics who wrote the manuscript.

The International Academic Journal of Physical Education is licensed under the CC Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 license.

 

Deposit in repositories: Authors who publish in the International Academic Journal of Physical Education may deposit a copy of their article in an institutional, thematic or any other open access repository, after publication in the journal. This allows articles to be accessible through multiple channels, expanding your visibility and reach.

Fee Policy: The International Academic Journal of Physical Education adopts a fair and transparent fee policy for open access. The costs of processing the articles will be clearly specified on the journal's website and will apply only in case of acceptance for publication. Mechanisms will be sought to ensure that fees are not a barrier for authors with financial constraints, such as fee waivers for authors from low-income countries or institutions with limited resources.

Promotion of Open Access: The International Academic Journal of Physical Education will actively promote Open Access and make authors, reviewers and readers aware of the benefits of this model. Awareness campaigns will be carried out on the journal's website, on social networks and at scientific events to promote the importance of Open Access in the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Peer review and scientific quality: The Open Access policy of the International Academic Journal of Physical Education does not compromise the rigor and scientific quality of the published articles. All articles will continue to undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure their scientific validity and contribution to scholarly knowledge.

Long-term archiving: The International Academic Journal of Physical Education will ensure long-term archiving of published articles in a trusted repository to preserve their long-term accessibility and ensure future availability.

Open Data Policy: The International Academic Journal of Physical Education will promote transparency in scientific research and encourage authors to share research data associated with their articles openly, whenever possible and consistent with the policies of ethics and applicable privacy.

General publication rules

1. Authors must certify that their manuscripts are their original work.
2. The authors must certify that the manuscript has not been previously published elsewhere.
3. Authors must certify that the manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
4.Authors must participate in the peer review process; that is, they are responsible for responding to the observations, suggestions, and comments of the manuscript reviewers.
5.Authors are required to provide retractions or error corrections.
6. All authors mentioned in the document must have contributed significantly to the research.
7.The authors must declare that all data in the document is real and authentic.
8.Authors must notify publishers of any conflict of interest.
9.Authors must identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscript.
10. Authors must report any errors they discover in their published article to the Editors

Guidelines for Authors

Authors who wish to publish in the International Academic Journal of Physical Education must send the manuscript using the platform.

When submitting an article through this platform, in "Step 3. Entering submission metadata", do not forget to indicate your first and last name and your email address, and include the title of the article, its keywords and its abstracts in Spanish and in English. To do this, select the language "Spanish" in the box that will appear at the top of the page and include the data in Spanish; then, select the English language in the same box and enter the data in English. You must also fill in the "Affiliation" box, indicating the name and postal address of your institution and your academic category.

Extension: It must not exceed 7,000 words

Title: in Spanish and English, not exceeding 12 words

Abstract: maximum length of 200-250 words, in Spanish and English (in addition to the language in which the article is written).

Keywords: maximum five terms, in Spanish and English (in addition to the language in which the article is written). Use the Unesco Thesaurus.

Format: Word (refrain from sending in PDF)

Font type and size: times new roman, 12; line spacing 1.5.

Style: Manuscripts must be clear and argumentative. The ideas must not contain expressions of racism, business advertising or marketing, political ideologies or other terms that violate the ethics and morals of other people.

Structure: the IMRDC model (Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusions) will be used, the essay articles must contain an introduction to the phenomenon or problem, the theoretical body and the conclusions, the reviews must contain the reviewed content, the critical commentary. the conclusions and the reference.
