The International Academic Journal of Physical Education (RAIEF) enforces a rigorous policy to guarantee the originality and academic integrity of all manuscripts submitted for consideration. As part of this commitment, the editorial board uses the Turnitin plagiarism detection software at multiple stages throughout the evaluation process, including a final screening just before publication.

All manuscripts are required to maintain a similarity index of 15% or less, excluding bibliographic references. In cases where this threshold is exceeded, the editorial team will evaluate the manuscript in full to determine whether the similarities are justifiable. Authors have the right to submit a written explanation for any exceptional cases; however, articles with significant or unjustified textual overlaps will be rejected without exception.

The journal has also launched a retrospective screening process, reanalyzing previously published manuscripts for adherence to plagiarism standards. This initiative is progressing in reverse chronological order and will initially review content dating back to at least 2020. Any article found to contain unacceptable levels of plagiarism will be retracted and documented as a case of research misconduct.

Confirmed violations involving plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or manipulation will result in a five-year ban from publishing in the journal. Furthermore, previously published works by the same authors may also be reviewed and subject to retraction if similar ethical breaches are identified.

The use of artificial intelligence tools must be explicitly disclosed within the methodology or acknowledgments section of the manuscript. While limited use of AI for language assistance may be permitted, the generation of core sections—such as results, discussion, or conclusions—is strictly prohibited. Failure to declare the use of AI or inappropriate reliance on such tools will be treated as serious ethical misconduct and may lead to retraction and author sanctions.

To support this policy, reviewers and editorial board members receive guidance on detecting unethical practices, including signs of excessive AI use. Any suspected ethical violations will be managed with transparency, impartiality, and strict adherence to the journal’s established Code of Ethics.
