Pedagogical proposal for an extracurricular activity: ‘Storytelling and psychomotor skills’.

Abstract
The proposal highlights the connection between psychomotricity and reading in the integral development of the child, underlining how both elements complement each other to enrich learning and promote socioemotional skills. Psychomotricity is defined as an education that encompasses physical, emotional and cognitive growth, thus considering it as a key element for social behaviour and academic learning. In parallel, reading is presented as an active process of constructing meaning that goes beyond mere decoding. In this context, the intervention ‘Stories & Psychomotor’ is proposed, which integrates a reading club with psychomotor activities, adapted to different age groups and reading levels. The main objective is the promotion of reading through experiences that stimulate both the physical and cognitive development of children. The proposal also includes evaluation methods to measure the effects of these activities on different skills and behaviours.
