University students engage in a variety of academic activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of physical activity among physical education students at BUAP (Autonomous University of Puebla). A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with a non-probability sample of 91 eighth-semester students (54 male and 37 female). The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), short version, was administered. This questionnaire assesses physical activity levels, categorizing them as high, moderate, and low, using metabolic rate (METs). The study aimed to determine the level of physical activity among BUAP physical education students. The results indicate that the majority of students (80.21%) have a high level of activity, while 15.38% have a moderate level. The high level observed is considered relevant to the degree program's profile, as students are expected to learn about and practice sports-related subjects. No previous studies on this topic exist.
